Five a.m. starts, 3k beginner groups and chai afterwards. Over the past year, The Mohali has spoken to residents, planners, business owners and officials to understand what is really changing — and what it means for the people who live here.
The short version: the city is growing outward and upward at the same time. New sectors are filling in, older phases are being rebuilt plot by plot, and the roads connecting them are being widened faster than at any point in the last two decades.

What is actually happening
Much of the change is visible from the road: cranes over Aerocity, new service lanes along Airport Road, and shopfronts opening every month in the newer sectors. Less visible is the planning behind it — and the questions residents are still asking about water, traffic and public space.
